I had my first lomi with Konane recently and it was incredible! Although I have experienced various types of massage before, including lomilomi, I had never tried with a practitioner of the pāola style. I have had shoulder surgery due to surfing accidents and still experience issues with pain and inflammation in my neck/cervical spine region. Using his knowledge and skill with pāola, Konane was able to help relieve the pain/inflammation/cervical radiculopathy (pinched nerve), and I was able to get back to surfing bigger waves in optimum shape!
